WITHDRAWAL FROM TERM (a.k.a. semester)
Effective the date of this request, I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:
i. This date, as submitted, will be recorded as the “last day of attendance” (see below for definition) and is subject to the provisions of federal financial aid regulations.
ii. I understand that by merely submitting this request, I still have not completed all of the required steps or obtained the required approvals to finalize my submission.
iii. A grade of “W” (withdrew) will be recorded on my academic transcript if submitted after the designated Add/Drop/Swap period. A grade of “F” (failed) will be recorded on my academic transcript if I have failed to obtain all necessary approvals and/or submitted my request after the conclusion of the current term (a.k.a. semester).
iv. Once approved, this request is final and binding for the current term (a.k.a. semester) adjustment and cannot be reversed.
i. A student’s last date of attendance is:
a) The date the student began the Law School’s withdrawal process or officially notified the Law School of intent to withdraw; or
b) The student’s last date of attendance at a documented academically related activity; or
c) The midpoint of the period of enrollment for a student who leaves without notice in which the determination of the student’s withdrawal date shall be made by the Law School.
ii. Withdrawal from the term (a.k.a. semester), while being currently enrolled, could result in loss of Title IV funding and create a financial obligation to the University for the student. Repayment to aid accounts depends on the type of aid received, government regulations, and the period of time in attendance.
iii. I understand that I am responsible for all financial balances remaining on my account as a result of the requested term (a.k.a. semester) adjustment and/or adjustments to my financial aid package. Please visit the Student Financial Services webpage to view the refund schedule and contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.
iv. Students with questions should consult with the University Financial Aid Office. If you are currently receiving or have ever received a federal student loan at any time during your enrollment at Emory University, you are required to contact the Office of Financial Aid.
By submitting this form, I have read and consent to the policies, guidelines, and procedures for the requested action of withdrawal from the semester. I authorize the School of Law at Emory University to release the information I provide to anyone with legitimate educational interest for purposes of considering this request.
